RURAL HEALTH CARE REALLY NEEDS A CLOSER LOOK BY ALL

When we started working on the concept of a Rural Health Clinic, we virtually thought why would people all over the world need this, when there are so many mobile vans going to rural places and villages and so many international charitable organizations and endowment funds putting money on these.... But as we went ahead and discussed with more and more people across the world on the net, via-phone and e mail, we found that nearly 60% of them really are not working or just a reason to spend money because it has been allocated and sometimes they go to a village, sometimes, they don't.... pretty sad... to hear that but then we did not have any parameter to judge these words.

Pondering on that and also the fact that each village should have something of their own  and also should be linked to either a district level hospital or a state level hospital, we under more deeper into that and nearly for 3 months kept on taking peoples opinion, when the first glaring thing that came to our view was :
a) It takes hell lot of a time for any Government to get some budget allocated for such works, because once they decide, it involves so much of paper work and documents, apart from the fact that legislative members of assembly of the same state at time do not encourage things, if their constituency is not getting a good pie of it

b) Then again it enters the zone of planning, which again goes to Public Works Department to work on that, in some cases some of the simplest of planning and approvals have taken more than 3 to 4 months or 6 months even,

c) Then enters the zone of tendering and granting the contracts, that itself, as everyone know in developing and under-developed countries, is a process of corruption and under-delivery of quality

d) Further, thereafter recruitment and over-recruitments, just to please some higher ups in the district level or state-level Health Commissioners or Ministers office  and actually we heard a complain that Doctors indeed do not want to be at village hospitals these days, and if by force they agree to be there, they are hardly 50-60% of the time present only, thereby not having someone really responsible on the site, while the functional authority to the nurses is so limited, they can hardly do something effective and patients and emergency calls suffer badly.

All these lead us to develop our idea of providing something that can really work in rural areas and be a combination of responsibility, quick-availability, communication-wise well linked, and giving the Nurse or the social group of people a dream to serve and ultimately own the unit thereby ensuring the funds that the Government or any funding organization places to work in reality for a long long time as they would do it, if they had taken care of their family .

Through this blog we wish to cover  your opinion from different parts of the world, which remains unheard and when heard can open eyes of lot of people, especially who are in deciding-chairs and / or people who donate money and would like to see that their spent money remains in effect for more than a year or decade or generation .
Please opine your views .... Thanks for visiting the site and we look forward to your valued suggestions and opinion and well did you go to the Opinion poll page :   http://www.globalgreenminiclinic.com/opinion-poll.html and cast your vote, please do so, we need your opinion.

The cntents of the blog are so real, it really reflects what is being happening in under-developed countries like ours, I am from Liberia and feel that the dream for every village and rural place to have a hospital even of 10 rooms will be a distant dreams, because of so many reason, politics, not using some of the available money coming to our country and many such things..... it is so so sas, I really feel that your team has come up with something very nice, can you people help us in getting the price and also help us more with the cellular phone technology that you have come to work up nicely.

I am in UK and a consultant to health services and go to Liberia every alternate month, I really feel that if some grant or aid is available, our NGOs can do a real good work and we would need somethign like 1000+ such clinics in next 1 - 2 years to take some positive step, I will write to you separately

In fact I was looking for some solution, which can offer villagers and sub-urban people, in our country : Uganda, where people can get treatment, and came across your site, I should say, VERY INTERESTING, nice offering for such services, I wonder, how the under-developed countries will have budget for these units, unless, there could be some aid for them, because if your marketing is to take place, I think there would not be any use, if any country is going to buy 5 - 10 units only and then be silent, Bana-kuba, your product of Mini Clinic is so needed, so needed , but how will these Governments, get the money to buy myself sometimes, being in marketing I wonder, how such units can be made available to people from countries like ours and nearly all 45 + countries in Africa and some in Asia etc etc

I shall be going to read you website again and then send you some e mail and you can help us then we will talk, lot of people really dream of some health care thing that can be near to them, but all do not get, such small think like this Mini Clinic can be helpful to them, but once again, I feel the same thing, will our politicians get on have some decision to get such things etc if the sideline other budgets, but alas ... practically speaking it may not happen, hence I invite your suggestions on here, if you please write, on this blog, I will wait and read and then send you my e mail
